The Amani Institute, in collaboration with Kenya’s iHub will be hosting the 4th edition of the annual FailFaire Nairobi. The event is set to allow entrepreneurs learn from successful counterparts who have previously failed in business.
The free-to-attend event – FailFaire 2016 will take place May 4, 2016 at the iHub. There is always increasing need to go beyond the traditional “best practices” presentation, because there is so much to learn from what went wrong. This event thus allow entrepreneurs just starting out learn from experience ones on how to overcome the mishaps and mistakes that others have made.
The line-up of speakers this year have all turned failure into success and some include: Nasreen Dhanji – Founder, Bluesky Innovations, Johnni Kjelsgaard – Founder & Chief Executive, GrowthAfrica, Chad Larson – Chief Credit Officer and Co-Founder, M-KOPA Solar, Natalie Lukkenaer – Executive Director Penya Africa, Joram Mwinamo – Founder, WYLDE International, and Renee Ngamau – Television and Radio Host, Capital FM Kenya, and Life Skills Coach.
There will also be networking opportunities as successful entrepreneurs can make critical introductions and even share much needed resources needed by other startups.
Now in it’s 4th year, the Amani Institute believe that given the incredible amount of innovation in different sectors in Nairobi, there is a tremendous amount we can learn from each other’s failures in a comfortable and closed setting.
