Apple has officially launched its very own digital wallet i.e. Apple pay in UAE today. So people who possess credit cards form any of these you a bank including Emirates NBD, RAK Bank, Mashreq, Standard Chartered, Emirates Islamic or HSBC, and an iPhone 6 or an upper model, will be able to pay in most of the stores using Apple Pay.

The vice president of Internet Services of Apple pay, Jennifer Bailey, told the Gulf News on a phone call from their headquarters in Cupertino, California that, “We are incredibly excited to bring Apple Pay to the UAE starting October 24, so customers can have an easy and secure and private way to pay in stores, in apps, and on the web and, of course, using the devices they carry with them every day,”.

People can pay their bills anywhere in the entire UAE where contactless payment is possible. like there are many wireless credit card reading machines available to the retailers all across the region, which can accept payment through Apple Pay.

this is the first time I pill Play services has been made available in the Middle East, and with the latest edition of UAE, a total number of countries where Apple Play services are available, have reached 20.

Bailey said that they have design Apple pay in such a manner since the beginning, that it does not store any kind of credit card information on the iPhone, on the Apple server, and don’t even share them with the merchants. in addition to that, Apple does not even know what the individual is buying, from where she or he is buying, and what actually is the amount that you are paid for it. this process used by Apple pay is known as “ tokenization” which makes the user data a lot more secure.
